Book without a doubt! We would 100% go back!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the nature around is stunning and everything is just perfect! There was no mosquitos and the place is really well kept and clean. The hotel director Rachid and staff really make their best to take good care of you!

Maybe a bit more lively evenings or things to do but it is the same in most hotels in Zanzibar, you go to bed early here.

A very special place, in every way.

Rashid is obviously a very good manager, because all the staff are so professional and attentive, beyond helpful, happy and smiling, and excellent at taking care of your every need. And the accommodation, food and entertainment were perfect. We loved everything.

This location offers a beautiful, serene, and impeccably clean environment. The room itself was outstanding and amazing, providing a truly exceptional experience. Moreover, the quality of the food was quite good. It's an excellent choice for a tranquil and enjoyable stay spanning a couple of days.

The hotel is comfortable and aesthetic, and it's in a absolutely beautiful location. I really enjoyed the breakfasts, and the dinners were tasty too, big portions! But the thing that made it all beyond wonderful is the staff. They are attentive and kind, and they really made us feel at home. I would definitely reconsider it.

Excellent quite hotel to stay in Zanzibar

Everything is perfect, the hotel very charming and quite. The facilities are great and the client can feel the privacy and exclusivity while staying there. Very spacious room with sea view. The hotel and room are clean. Very friendly staff and clean delicious food. We really enjoyed every minute there and sad to leave.

It can be more than excellent if the hotel has a beach.

Great room bad location

I loved the room and private pool and the size of the room, breakfast was really good quality. It’s ok the beach and the hotel itself is very pretty

The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing is walking distance. The lunch and dinner wasn’t good at all so we wanted to go out for lunch or dinner but there was nowhere nearby. You can’t get a taxi from the hotel you have to ask the hotel to call a driver who charge starting from $15. Also salty water comes out the taps in the room and the taps need fixing. And the hotel rooms are filled with bugs as expected but a lot of ants, cockroaches and mosquitos so we had to not keep anything out.

Get the room with the pool! It’s amazing

Everyone was welcoming and loving. The serve i was amazing. They resolve issues quickly. They even let us have our massages after they were closed, that was very generous of them. Their souvenir shop was nice. They had a little bit of everything. They have security guards all around which was awesome, we felt safe.

The food could be better honestly, I liked the pizza the cocktail drinks & the chicken samosa though. We had Calamari and fish they were very hard to eat. We had the room with the pool and I was surprised a beautiful room like that didn’t come with a robe.

Amazing

We have spent one week at the hotel. The appartement is huge with an amazing private pool and view on the ocean. The WiFi connection was ok. The food was above all expectations ! Every day included a la carte breakfast. Every day a new diner menue that was top quality. We also have done excursions arranged with the hotel (snorkelling, Matemwe) and massage. The room service is really good and they make you feel at home. You cannot really swim in the sea but honestly the pool is incredible. The nature around the hotel is whaou!!! Also there are friendly animals inside the property. I totally recommend this hotel if you want to have really good rest in a beautiful environment. Every night there are optional activities : Masai, henna, flowers crown.

Wonderful

We loved the quietness of the place... if you really want to relax and peace of mind.... this is the place... only 27 units and we chose sea view which was perfect.... outdoor personal pool with sea facing the really nice..... the manager Rasid was outstanding... really friendly and easy to work with along with his staff macaran... Our waiter/service guy Godbless was outstanding with very professional service.... as being vegetarians they cook made us whatever we requested... depending he had the ingredients or the know how to cook it.... the massage lady mariam was pretty good with the foot and the head massage.... really enjoyed our stay with spacious room....

The smell in the room - of mold and humidity (though not as bad as in other places we stayed) The curtains and walls were stained from water infiltrations. The pool was noy sure how clean it was. And in another day the keeper put too much chloryde. Because of so much greenery (which is lovely), there were a lot of insects - so have sprays and creams to protect your skin).

It’s quite. If you want to unplug than this is the place to be. Rashid the GM and his team try to accommodate all the necessary amenities and are open for any idea. The team is more than kind.

The location is perfect, very quiet suitable for couples and relaxation. Eating the tasty breakfast -tamarind and hibiscus juice is amazing - we enjoy the Mnemba Island View. Very important , also, the closest distance from the Boutique to Mmemba Island. Thank you for the excellent hospitality Rachid!

Overall a FAB hotel with lovely staff, well designed interiors and great pool area.

WE LOVED: - The staff <3 - How safe it felt (We went for many walks, leaving all of our stuff on the sun loungers and never felt like anything could go missing) - The room (9c) - The hotel environment (the gardens, beautiful nature) - The pool (so warm and so clean clean) - The breakfasts - The fish-options for dinner were incredibly good - The small size of the hotel - The interior design and the landscaping - The active seeking of feedback by the hotel manager Rashid - The lovely atmosphere, the staff remembering names - The ability to eat lunch by the pool or by the table - The fab cleaning services - The laundry services available - The pool table - The cocktails (although they were inconsistent in ingredients, recipes, mixes and glassware) - The fact that our room was swept for spiders and bugs before we came in and we were given a spray for flies and cockroaches in case there were more and I wanted protection (I'm arachnophobic) - That we could pay for all the hotel bills in all Dollar Bills *as long as they were not pre-2009 $100 bills. - The entertainment options were good - The amount of privacy we had in our room and balcony

This list seems long, but most of these are minor issues, more for feedback for the staff, than to complain. We had a WONDERFUL honeymoon and loved this hotel (especially the staff) SO MUCH. These things could be better/What we didn't love: - The music by the pool would often play from a free Spotify account so we would hear the ads for Spotify every 15 minutes - The one single cockroach in the room was hiding behind towels - The lunch and dinner vegetarian menu were not satisfactory (not enough meal options, at least not for my taste, and the prices are European-high, so it was sad not to eat better...) - The lack of consistency of cocktails and food (one day it looks one way, the next day, completely different) - The waiting times for orders (cocktails, drinks, food, even just a glass of icecubes) were often very long (over 30 minutes) - The Christmas music after Christmas (On the 27 Dec and later) - The fact, that there were frequent power cuts in the hotel - The prices of the excursions (if you book outside of the hotel, you'll normally pay half of the hotel prices) - The fact, that the hotel gives an option of 'swimming with dolphins' tour (we didn't use this tour, but were aware of mistreatment of these animals being a common practice around Mnemba island) - I wish we knew there was an option of renting a scooter (piki piki), as we didn't know until the last day - The paths were not lit enough (therefore there had to be people lighting them up every evening)

Hospitality at Finest

The staff were all exceptional. Very helpful. The room is large and spacious. No mosquito bites as we informed the hotel manager before arrival, and extra arrangements were made to ensure we had mosquito spray and gel. The food, OMG, absolutely satisfying, seafood especially. You'd get them freshly made. My favourite was the lobster which cost only 20$, and you can't beat that. Want a quiet stay, I'd definitely recommend. The cricket sounds at night put you to a nice sleep, I can't lie. Fyi. There's a bit of greenery that makes it very naturelike. Might see some what looks like a baby gazelle in the little bush.

Wifi- Wifi was quite rubbish in the room. The manager tried to resolve and also offered a MiFi which wasn't good either but the effort is appreciated.
